I am really looking to feeling like myself again. It has been so long I am not really sure that that is tho, lol.

I am worried about the time off from work I will need after the surgery. My boss half jokingly thinks I will return by the end of the week, FRIDAY!!!! I was hoping to return to half days in a weeks time. Am I crazy???
The end of the week is too soon.

I was on narcotics 24/7 for several weeks.

The decision to have the surgery was one of the best decisions I made in my life. Everything is better now.

You're going to do great!

Re: Monday is the day

All the very best to those heading to the castle this week! I had a TAH Nov.10th and if I could give you any advice at all it's this: "Take the time you need to heal" This is the worst time in your life too want to be superwoman and start back to your normal routine things too early. If you do you can really make your internal healing slower, not only that do some damage that down the road in the future you'll pay for ie: hernia's etc.

Take the time to heal!! You deserve this time for yourself...and you only get ONE chance to do it. Don't be afraid to ask for help to reach things, to have someone pick something up for you off the floor, don't vacuum, sweep, scrub the toliet, tub time this will be a memory and you'll want to look back and KNOW you did it the right way and not have worries.

This is a wonderfully supportive website here - worth it's weight in gold!
