Did not expect HRT...

Hey sisters, I did not even venture into HRT info before my hysterectomy. I had expected to keep my left ovary and due to the severity of endometriosis I lost my left ovary and a 1 hour procedure turned into 3 hours. I am 4 days post-op and just changed my first patch today. I've been a bit weepy today and didn't know if it was just the adjustment from one patch to another or what. Any advice?

You are so early in your recovery that your body needs time to adjust to all the changes. It is very normal to feel weepy. Its going to take awhile before you get the full effect of your hrt. Your body has reserves in estrogen and as you deplete that your estrogen levels will be off. Give it another couple weeks and if you are still having problems let your dr. know and they can adjust your dosage however it could take awhile to find the right balance. Good luck.
