Off to the castle!

I am off the the castle in about 40 minutes. Surprisingly I am not too nervous! Thanks for all the support here on this site. To all my fellow sisters going to the castle today GOOD LUCK!!! I wish you all a speedy recovery! See you on the other side.

Welcome back to the sisterhood.
You will find this a great help through the weeks of your recovery, especially those who have their ops this week, as you go through the stages together.


For the first few weeks remember the mantra driven into me by my mother and hubby - "Just DON't".
Don't do too much.
Don't lift, twist, stretch, turn etc
If you ask yourself, "Should I be doing this?" - it probably means DON'T too.

Rest is so important, with a bit of pottering round too, to prevent thrombosis.

Start with 5 mins walks after 2 weeks. The checkpoints above were very useful.
