1 year post op having odor issue...

I am 37 and had my uterus, cervix, and one ovary removed a year ago. I had it done with the da-vinci device but had complications anyway. I was fully recovered after complications 2 months after surgery. Since then I have had problems with odor during and after sex. It has gotten so bad that my bf does not even want to have sex because it is so strong. I went to the dr and he told me I had bv and I took the medicine and it seemed to get better for a few months but the odor came back. I did another round of treatment but it hasnt gone away this time. I am wondering if it has something to do with my hormones. Can someone please help me with this? I would really like to get back to a normal sex life.

Thanks so much!

Sorry to hear you are having recurring infections. Could it be that your husband is harboring some of the bacteria and this is a source of the recurrences?

I believe I have heard that some Drs will treat both the husband and wife with antibiotics if there are recurrent infections.

There have been some women who have experienced this issue. You can do a search for odor and see what threads on the topic show up and if they provide you any information.
