Two weeks until surgery.

I am having a Da Vinci Hysterectomy on Tuesday, January 31st and the time is going by pretty quickly to get to that day. I am wondering about recovery time and how long I may be in the hospital.

Re: Two weeks until surgery.

Hi. I had daVinci surgery 11/28/12 for a second prolapse. My experience with daVinci was pretty good. I had a TAH in 2005. Not fun but got through it like we do!😊 DaVinci was thumbs up for me. I also had a list of things done at the same time. Just stayed over night. I just had 2 issues: nausea from anesthia and my neck hurt after. I had to go back todo tear. Was put on a muscle relaxant which helped. Still alittle sensitive when I turn a certain way. My main message to you is I think you'll be happy w/ the robotic surgery. Just remember to have a pillow to hold by your tummy when you get up. It helped me. I wish you luck and I know that you'll be fine!👍

Re: Two weeks until surgery.

I am having a Davinci hysterectomy in 3 weeks and my Dr. told me it is outpatient and that I can go home that night if I feel up to it. Otherwise, I would stay one night. I really don't like hospitals or surgery, but I am actually getting excited. Ready to get rid of this big uterus once and for all. Best Wishes.
