hip and thigh pain/soreness

I am hoping someone can share some of their experiences with me if they've had similiar symptoms. I am scheduled for a LAVH Feb 6 but it could end in a TAH, not sure until he gets in. Ultra sound showed 4 fibroids but I seem to think I have more than that going on. My whole body aches and is almost sore to touch. the back of my hips and thighs is extremely sore, as if I have been beaten - I wake up hurting when I turn over. Pelvic pain has been severe this week too, the kind where you can't stand up straight. I have always been regular, never been pregnant, and never any major issues with my periods or gyn health. I am now 43. About 10 years ago my hip to my knee went out for about 3 months and it was severe pain, so severe I did not want to live I hurt so bad. My rheumatoid factor was elevated but other than that numerous doctors never found a cause, I mean this pain would have me screaming in the waiting rooms and I am not a dramatic person. The pain I am having now is not as severe just more sore aching. The more I read the more "could be's" I wonder about. I have been sick since August but it started out what I thought was urinary issues but all of that turned out fine. I have lost weight, no appetite (no me either), nausea, dizziness, feeling faint, fatigue, foggy memory, etc. Has anyone else had these symptoms with only fibroids? I feel sure I probably have endo but we don't know. I am keeping a journal and when I meet for pre-op on 30th, I will go over the last 30 days with my doctor. He is hoping he can do the LAVH but said if it is endo he may have to do TAH but won't know until he gets in. I also have an enlarged uterus and my endometrial linning 3 days before my period on CT scan was 5mm. If anyone could share their stories good or bad, I would be grateful.
Thank you for the support I get on hystersisters, it is my only source of information when something pops in my head.

Re: hip and thigh pain/soreness

I had a lot of these problems too. Anemia could account for the tired, fuzzy type stuff. That general body ache, I don't know, but I had it too and it's gone now. I also had stomach stuff like indigestion and nausea which is now gone.

Don't be disappointed if all these things don't go away as soon as you have surgery. Iron takes time to rebuild. Surgery takes a lot out of you. Meds can make you sick and groggy. As time goes by and you get off the meds and start moving around you will feel so much better.

After you recover you can always deal with any problems that are left. At this point I only have one problem (related to a lifelong problem with my thyroid) left to resolve.

thank you! Did you know before surgery you had endo and adhesions? How are you recovering, I see you recently had your surgery?
