Strange weather Saturday Jan 21

Woke up to temps in the mid 70's and just plain muggy. I got home from and had to turn the a/c on. Dh went to the pool store for some parts, he got back, I went outside and said brrrr.... Forecast was for warm and muggy all day. I'll take the cooler temps though! I may need to go change my shirt. I opened the windows in the house and am now feeling chilly!

We went to a new restaurant last night. We were just driving down the road and spotted it. Turned out well for me. I had lamb kabobs, rice and a mediterranean salad. The salad was diced cucumbers, tomatoes and some sort of other vegetable in there. Not sure what it was, may have been jicama. It had a very very light dressing on it. Lamb was done almost pefectly. Very tender. I had to give some to dh as he wasn't pleased with his, but if he would've asked me I could've let him know that well done lamb is never very good. I would go back.

Not sure on lunch yet. Dinner is beef ribs and vegetable skewers with pesto on the grill. I haven't made the veggie skewers in awhile. Peppers and mushrooms were on sale.

Hi Kim and all who follow
kabobs sound wonderful.

Re: Strange weather Saturday Jan 21

Val, I want some cold temps. Guess we always want what we can't have.

Been busy screwing with our oven so I can get the ribs cooked. After Hurricane Ike and our kitchen redo we bought some very nice appliances. The oven has given me nothing but trouble. I am about fed up and just ready to stop cooking. Maybe than dh will finally do something. We have had 2 techs out here awhile back, but I wasn't impressed and sent them away.

Back to the oven so we can have dinner at a reasonable time. Sigh...

Re: Strange weather Saturday Jan 21

Hi all,
Kim ...we have a fabulous Greek restaurant we go to and I get their salad with thin sliced lamb...yum!
Val - love snow, love it more when it melts!!!
Sorry to be MIA -have been studying like a crazy lady for the national waterfitness certification...and I PASSED ! Whew! Now there are 2 more courses I plan to take before the end of February - not so much studying ahead of time for those!
Have been eating more (WW recommended trying that), and sure enough I'm down 2 pounds! Who knew???
Plenty of exercise for today - we had to be the "class" for all the other instructors...so we all got well worked out!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
