Day 1

Maybe I'm just an optimist but I had my surgery yesterday and am doing great. I'm sure it's the drugs I'm on but I can't believe how fantastic everything went. I have been bleeding since Sept 16 and was gushing blood some of that time including this past week.
I actually stopped at the grocery store on my way home from the hospital to get a few things. I am so excited I'm not bleeding anymore... and I will take it easy for the next several days!

Re: Day 1

I'm so happy that you are feeling so great! As many other sisters here will tell you, and I am learning first hand at this point in my post op journey, remember you had MAJOR surgery. Even though you feel great you can overdo it and pay for that later. I have days when I feel great and get a little to over eager in my activity and pay for it a day or two later. Hopefully this won't be the case for you, but remember you only get one chance to heal properly. Please be careful and remember to pamper the princess!

I hope your recovery continues to be healthy and speedy!

Re: Day 1

I am definitely taking it easy. I want to heal properly. My mom is visiting from MI to take care of me and there's no better care than a mom's care!

Thanks for your reply. I hope you're doing well!

Re: Day 1

Hey there!

Thanks for sharing your day with us! It's so good to hear you're doing well and that you have such a positive outlook! What a great start to a hopefully smooth and uneventful recovery! Take advantage of the rest and mom care. Continue to keep us posted on how you're doing! It can be tempting to sit at the computer, but don't let time slip by so that you're sitting up at that bending position for too long.

All the best,
