Yes Gas X rocks! And taking little walks around the house or hospital gets the gas moving in the right direction.

Re: How many days should I need a lot of help?

i didnt have any trouble with gas at home but in the hospital it was unbearable to saythe least.i was up washing dishes after 2nd day and tried a lot of walking thruout home. i think thats reason i didnt have much of gas trouble at home.BUT please dont think of this as procedure especially if you are having a TAH.ONEof my best friends that handles pain quite well had TVH SAID that was very painful and her dr. kept her under his care for 8 weeks that was w/ no complications.she said it was very painful.
please keep in mind that each person heals differently, some ppl. have alot of pain others dont.please be prepared you might be lucky and not have much pain and do very well w/ recovery OR you could have major pain issue or complications, keep this in mind.
everyone heals differently whichever type you're doing.hugs to you
