Surgery 1-2-02

I found this site yesterday and many of my questions have been answered for my surgery scheduled for tomorrow, 1-2-02. A large mass was found surrounding my ovaries just two weeks ago, so things have moved along fast. I will be checking back often as I prepare today.

Jan. 2 for me too

Hi Barbara,
My thoughts and prayers will be with you. I know you must be having some of the same feelings and thoughts I'm having today. I'm very much a planner and thought I would have everything in order but the closer it gets, the more I feel out of control... like I'm forgetting something. What time is your surgery scheduled? Best wishes and may God bless.

Hi Barbara!

Welcome to Hystersisters!

Things happened very fast for me too! One day I was just having a routine well-woman exam, and before the month was out, I was home recovering from my TAH/BSO!!

I wish you all the best for your surgery; please stick around and let us know how things progress for you.

Surgery 1-2-02

Things happened fast for me--

Monday, November the 26th, I took my daughter to our family physician for a cold, and while I was there he told me that I had a growth in my ovary (I had what I thought was a normal pelvic ultrasound a few days earlier, and he had the results). I was STUNNED.

Two days later, November 28th, I saw a specialist.

Twelve days later I had everything out.

Six days after surgery my husband drove us to see "The Nutcracker."

Seven days later I went to Walmart.

Eight days later I saw my daughter play hockey at her high school game.

LIFE HAS BEEN FANTASTIC! I wasn't in any pain beforehand, so that wasn't a reason to have my surgery. And I had a great time in the hospital and afterwards.

I consider it a gift from God that everything turned out fine and now I don't have to think about my ovaries or uterus or cervix!

I hope things go well for you !!

Barbara,
Welcome to HysterSisters. Best wishes to you tomorrow. Please let us know how you are once you return home. There is also a Post-Op forum so that you can get the support you will need once you are home. Hormone Jungle Forum is wonderful too.
