bible study breakdown

Today at bible study when we got to prayer requests, i knew as i cuddled my friends infant that if i darr spoke i would break down. Till a friend said "Oh look, Tina is on my prayer list, i wonder how she got there." Then as soon as she made eye contact with me, cue flood gates. I just agreed with her by nodding. I couldnt even talk. I had no idea how draining this process would be emotionally, physically and mentally! Im a mess!!! Tomorrow is my last day of work and i have no idea how i will concentrate at all. :| im frantically trying to control what i can, which is mainly my home. Gah!!!

Re: bible study breakdown

Big hugs Tina. Big emotions are to be expected. This is a big surgery, big life change, big leap into recovery, and big leap into learning to let go. (Dust bunny just blew by my feet.). Having your bible study friends supporting you is so great! Breathe deeply, walk in His word, and take one step at a time. Then relax and recover. Praying for you too!

Re: bible study breakdown

Surrender is one of our biggest spiritual challenges. It's easy to say, "Let go and let God", but we still hang on and try to control the outcome. Be realistic about what you can control - your preparations and being honest with people about what you need and how you are feeling. Then, trust that you will have the strength to deal with whatever the journey brings.

Love and prayers!

It will all be ok. Today was my pre-op. Tomorrow is my last day of work. I have a spa day scheduled and I'm going to enjoy it.

Re: bible study breakdown

You ladies will be just fine. Prayers that our Father will guide the hands of those surgeons, and that he is there in every step of your surgery!! Just know that God never leaves your side, and when you are stressed call out to him. Prayers for you!!

Re: bible study breakdown

You are not alone! Absolutely this is a journey far more emotional and cathartic than anyone can ever realize until you have been here. During my pre-surgery days, I found great comfort in Psalm 91:4

He will cover you with His feathers; you will take refuge under His wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield.
