Hubby here. What works ?, how long, advice / help PLEASE !!!

My wife is 45 and had a full hyster back in July of 2011 due to bad endro. She is an RN and has been a fitness buff/nutritional freak her whole life....but this hyster is killing her. She hasn't been able to take ANY kind of HRT and the homeopathic way just sent her head spinning , not to mention a dozen other side effects.
We both have read so much on the web and other resources on this topic and it seems like all we read or hear from others is horror stories...nobody seems to have an answer or a remedy for what has worked for them or what is working or how long this will last... when does life for her begin again ?
At the moment my wife is suffering with the crying and the anxiety and just over all nerves uncontrollable. We see her obgyn , we've been to an endocrinologist, psychologist, and the end result is all this is just stressing her out even more. My argument is how is talking to someone going to fix a medical problem ?

We just need some solid answers.

Hi Hubby -

I feel for you both, and sorry I have no answers, BUT - I must tell you it would be best if your wife were to sign up and log in - this is a woman to woman forum and men are administratively removed.

Also - when your wife does log in, there is a forum specifically dealing with hormone issues that may be very helpful for her - and you.

I wish you all the best.

Here's the link to the forum I mentioned.

I suggest lurking there for a bit and see if there are some better answers for you.

Good Luck.

No answers...?...thats the norm it seems.

She's not one to sit and do chats or forums thats why I joined. If I'm to be "administratively removed", then so be it...I'll go away the same way I came , with no answers.

Re: Hubby here. What works ?, how long, advice / help PLEASE !!!

I know you said your wife is into the homeopathic lifestyle, but has she considered antidepressants or short term treatments to manage the depresssion and anxiety? I too prefer natural remedies, but sometimes we have to do things in the short term until we can reach a place that is manageable for the long term. I live in Texas, so I don't really have any doctor recommendations, but I do send you and your wife the most positive thoughts and prayers. You seem to be a really loving husband who is trying desperately to get some answers for the woman you love. I know how hopeless things can seem when you are battling depression, and getting online to chat is one of the last things a person wants to do. I commend you for reaching out to try and find answers for you both and for supporting her in her recovery.

I really do hope that you are able to find some answers, and if possible, that you can talk your wife into getting onto this site to share her experience. I can speak first hand to the benefits of just knowing that you are not alone in an experience related to hysterectomy... and this site is the perfect place to rid the mind of 'you're all alone' and 'no one else will understand' type of feelings.

to you and your wife.
