Re: 3 o'clock surgery????

I have yet to receive my call about my "time". Surgery Tuesday so I am suppose to get my call Monday between 4 and 7. Gonna have to carry the phone with me as I will be right in the middle of my highly anticipated "Bowel prep". Best wishes to you and a speedy recovery..

Re: 3 o'clock surgery????

mine is scheduled for 2:00...need to call to confirm the day before. I hate that it's so late in the day I know I'll be so hungry too. At preop the other day they said I could have clear liquids up until 4 hours before surgery so at least I'll get to have my (black) coffee in the AM, but the wait is going to make ne nuts!

Re: 3 o'clock surgery????

Trust me, you will not be hungry. My surgery was originally scheduled for one o'clock and got delayed by at least one hour. I can't remember exactly when I went into surgery but it was shortly after 2. I was not hungry and since they had hooked me up to an IV shortly after I got there, I was not thirsty at all. As a matter of fact, I kept running to the bathroom.

I wish all of you ladies the best of luck with your surgeries and recoveries.

I sure hope you're right...I eat every few hours as it is now and if I don't eat breakfast by 10:00 I'm shaky. I'm grateful I can have clear liquids until 10 but I'm not sure it will do much to kill the hunger....
