Surgery tomorrow, need help

For last 2 days I've been bleeding heavily. Will heavy bleeding stop my surgery tomorrow from taking place. What is going on with my body.

The dr told me that bleeding would not stop the surgery.

Re: Surgery tomorrow, need help

I do not think it will.. Flo's revenge.. She is trying one last time as she knows she can no longer invade your body after this.. Best wishes to you and a speedy recovery...

Re: Surgery tomorrow, need help

My last period (ever) started 2 days before my surgery date and it did not stop a thing. The only change they made was they put me in some disposable panties and gave me a pad and when I woke up in the recovery room they were gone ..and I wasn't on my period any more.

I walked around saying.. "the definition of irony.... my hysterectomy is scheduled for Wednesday and my period started on Monday" ... if you have any cramping talk to your doctor, there are certain meds they would prefer you not to take.

Ha Ha....I have the same worry. Since Flo comes whenever she **** feels like it, I can see her showing up the day before the surgery.

Re: Surgery tomorrow, need help

I was on my period going into the surgery, too. They gave me the disposable panty and a pad going into surgery. When I came out, I was no longer bleeding. I haven't even been spotting since. I am 4 days post op. I feel great. It's amazing. It was really the best decision for me. No more fibroids and no more bleeding. I had the Da Vinci robot assisted surgery and my doctor was great. Thank you to all the hystersisters who helped me feel at ease.
