Re: lower back pain and legs ache

Please report this to your doctor as soon as possible.
I had this and I still have problems with my inner thighs.
They are weak, and slightly wobbly when I get up from sitting for prolonged periods or sleeping.
My body possibly did not like the stirrups, or lying down in the "spread" position for the duration of the surgery.

This is just a guess.
I then put PT treatment off so long that my nerves atrophied.

I also worsened the condition by running too much, starting at 3 months post op.
An MRI showed a swollen disc, but no problems with cuts or compressions on nerves. The swollen disc may have been from previous injuries, but I just don't remember having a back problem.

The neuro said that surgery to help this may be way too risky, so they are treating me with physical therapy and a "Tens unit" to stimulate the nerves and relieve the back pain.

This combination has helped a great deal.

There are risks with having a hysterectomy. Hopefully yours will be resolved a lot sooner than mine.
I will say that I am not sure that all of my symptoms are totally attributable to the surgery.

Pinkmist.....you are going to have those pains. All you are doing is sitting or laying, and your body is not used to that. Make sure you are up walking until you belly starts to feel heavy. I think that most of us have had an achy back and legs. Try moving around and see if that makes a difference.

Yes!
This is what I thought at first.
I let this go on and on for months, LOL.
What you are feeling is normal, but if it lingers like mine did, ask your doctor for help.
I just wish that I had told him immediately of the problem, so that he was aware of it.
Now we can not ascertain exactly when the pains first came about, as it was so long since I had my surgery.
All I know was that it was after my surgery.
