Belly numbness

i had my hysto about 11 weeks also. Anybody have numbness? My belly is so numb across (from left to right) and about 2 inches above the incision. I am starting to feel tenderness across my skin of my belly. Inside feels great just hard and numb, hard to explain the feeling.

Re: Exercise 11 weeks post op

HI dgusty3. I've had achies, numbness, tingling, itching, where and when depending on what day of healing, I guess. I'd think numbness is your nerves healing -- those were cut like everything else during the surgery and it takes time for them to repair themselves. I imagine as they do heal, you might have sensitivity/tenderness too. Hopefully it will all ease as you keep on keepin' on healing.

Re: Belly numbness

Sad to say that for many of us who have been cut hip to hip in some sort of surgery that the numbness never goes away. It does get to be a smaller patch. I have about a 4 inch by 2 inch area above my cut that has never gained feeling back. My last surgery to cut hip to hip was 15 years ago. Not saying that it will be the same for you but I did want you to know that it really does not give me any issues. I don't hurt, I don't feel tingles, I really do not feel anything in the area. Not even a needle poke.
I hope yours heals all the way.
