Re: Wish I could just grow another uterus & cervix

Lynnabart, all your concerns are very valid. I had my cervix and uterus removed due to cervical dysplasia and adeno. I had serious concerns about sex post op. But I notice no difference in the length of my vagina at all. DH says it feels just the same to him. Sex is different but not in a bad way, just different. It's better for me having the cervix gone because it hurt when DH bumped it during sex. The only disappointment for me is my orgasms are much less intense without the uterus contracting. I still have them and they're easy to achieve but sometimes they're very superficial and disappointing. From what I read on here, women who have had problems with heavy bleeding seem to find sex better post op. sex does take patience and time, however. I am 7 months post op and we're still not back to normal. It sounds like you have a lot of issues down there and you may find a hysterectomy will make things much better for you. Wishing you luck.
