Pre-op appt today.

We're discussing all the ins and outs of my upcoming surgery. I'm a nervous wreck.Never been so nervous before in the 9 yrs he's been my dr. Last month I had an appt to see if the meds he put me on were helping the cycles. Short of the story, I'm sure you all know already. No.

Unfortunately realizing how REAL this was now, put me in a super bad place. (It was on my birthday and ruined it...I wanted nothing to do with anything) I cried for days.

I'm praying this doesnt do it again. I'm mentally prepping this in my head. My only condition is it not to be on my daughters birthday, or the day before after. Really shouldnt be an issue since her bday falls on sunday.

My BRAC (sp?) came back negative. I still am going to ask he take the right ovary. I get along with my left. Its my right one that plays the disciplinarian card, grows cysts the size of baseballs and is painful frequently in general.

I realized when I went to my endocrinologist how much pain was affecting my life. Aside from my eldest knowing which cabinet contained mommy's painpills and how much to give me. And when we need to call daddy for rescue. I had my BP tested and it was 160/120, they rechecked numerous times. Still around the same numbers. I'm going to end up with a stroke if we dont do something.

Re: Pre-op appt today.

I'm sorry this has been so difficult. You will probably feel so much better that you will wonder why you waited.

I think I would take the unruly ovary out too. Many people do fine with one. I have a friend who had one removed and went on to have 2 kids before she finally had to have a hyst (they'd been trying to do one since she was in her early 20s).

Pain can make your bp go up. So can just the general stress of everything going on. Hopefully that will get better too!
