It will get better

well 24 days after davinci total hysterectomy and feeling really good. I have to keep telling myself I'm still healing on inside and don't pick that up lol. The worst thing is the " swelly belly" that is even more swollen at night. The ab support band with the pockets for ice packs really helped especially in the first two weeks when you sneeze or cough, by the third week that pain goes away at least for me it has. I wish all of you the best before, during and after. JUST REMEMBER TAKE IT SLOW AND ASK FOR HELP. That was the hardest for me and still is. I think I must be one of the lucky ones and you may be to! I have'nt had to take any hrt as of yet only maybe 4 or 5 sudden hot flashes that go as fast as they come and no night sweats. That may change ,but as of today even bad gas pain have gone.

Re: It will get better

Yes - it does get better! Even for those who've had complications, for the most part they work through them and eventually get better, too.

Follow your post op instructions and always err on the side of caution.
