24 hours post op

Oh man am I sore. Even sitting hurts especially more so since I lied on the couch and my weenie dog anxious to see me jumped onto the middle of my belly.

Re: 24 hours post op

When I was laying on the couch those first few weeks, I would always put a pillow over my tummy...that helped prevent all those little bumps from hurting.

Thanks! Ill def try the pillow thing. I have also found that I cant sit for very long at all. I am so glad I found this place. None of my friends have ever had this and dont understand the pain. Its nice to have someone to talk to.

A heating pad is very soothing also. Don't forget to let your family pamper the Princess.

Re: 24 hours post op

Yes - the pillow saved me from my Cat. I used the pillow regardless of whether I was sitting or Laying down. I still have it handy for when my Cat comes around and put it on my belly every night before sleeping. I am three weeks post op tomorrow.

Re: 24 hours post op

I definitely can not sit up yet. Had a Da Vinci TH left one ovary on Tuesday.. The pressure in my lower abdomin/cervix area is to much when I try to sit up. Have eaten all of my meals on an incline laying in bed..

So I am taking this to be normal?

Also, not really sore but more bloated/extended feeling right now. I am on percocet (one) every 4 hours and 600mg ibuprofen every 6 hours. The ibuprofen helps with the swelling I think but I would like, starting tomorrow to cut back on the percocets if possible.

Re: 24 hours post op

I think what you're feeling is normal. The first couple weeks aren't fun. Hang in there. Don't be a hero, take the Percocet when you need it. You will heal faster if you're resting comfortably.
