New dose needed?

I'm 3 weeks post op everything but cervix removed and I'm nuts!! I am a very calm spiritual life loving person. I can't even stand my honey or babies right now when I'm not balling for something totally stupid. I look at myself in the mirror and look ugly, even though I just plucked my eyebrows, lost weight, have a clear complextion...Ugh. Please tell me I'm not the only one. I'm on 1.25mg Premarin right now...I obviously need to go up, huh? Thanks ladies! Bless you all for having to go through this nightmare.

New dose needed?

My 3 week mark I was also a complete emotional mess. I will be 7 weeks post op tomorrow and things are a bit better. I still have my bad days but I do have some good ones now. I just started estrogel a week ago, I had to wait 6 weeks for anything. I still need to find the balance. Hang in there it will get better. If you need to talk you can send me a message. I know where you are coming from one minute I was ranting next I was in tears.

New dose needed?

Thanks girl for the encouragement! I'm only 4 days into this new dose, so it may just be THE one...I guess I just need to give it some time. Hopefully I feel human again soon. This stuff isn't easy! Lol Take care you!

New dose needed?

Oh, I can't wait to get back to running!! I was supposed to run a half marathon in April, but had to reluctantly cancel. But I'm shooting for another in June! It's amazing how something that is such a huge part of your life gets taken away, you get lost somewhere! I really want me back! And at least now I won't have to worry about peeing myself from all the pressure my huge uterus was giving me! Lol

New dose needed?

I was doing the insanity asylum program before my surgery and I know what you mean. I was constantly afraid of wetting myself lol. I just started up again a few days ago and I have to admit not having that uterus pushing on your bladder is a wonderful thing. I was missing my workouts also, it feels wonderful to be doing them again. I hope you get to run that marathon in June. It is a bit frustrating for me because I lost a lot of my strength and endurance. But I know it will be back shortly. I had a total of 3 surgeries in the past year and I was able to get back in shape in a short amount of time the first two.

New dose needed?

I'm so glad to hear that you're finally able to get back to it...without wetting yourself! Lol I think I've also lost a lot of strength, but only being off a month, I think it'll come back quickly! Thank you so much for the encouragement! Remember, don't push yourself too hard!

New dose needed?

Not pushing myself is the problem.Mentally I am ready but physically if I do I am very sore. I was working out up to 2 hours a day before the surgery. It gets frustrating not being able to go as I did before. I am getting stronger every day and I am sure you will bounce back very quickly also. I think by the end of the month I will notice a big difference. How have you been feeling ?

Re: New dose needed?

I'm actually starting to feel somewhat normal again! I went to the doc for my 4 week checkup today. He said I'm doing good! I'm still really really tender though and I've been having bladder spasms after I pee, so he cathed me real quick...I almost hit the ceiling!!! He got a clean specimen to check for infection, but we both agreed prob no infection. Just healing pains. And I'm totally bummed, he said no running for another 4 weeks. Ugh.
But....I haven't cried for 2 whole days! I think I found my wonder drug! 1.25mg Premarin, and don't think I'll ever be able to live without.
And don't fret, you'll get back up to 2 crazy hours of working out a day again...sooner than you think, WITH your new body! I'll be shortly behind you!

Re: New dose needed?

I think the tenderness lasts awhile. I am still a bit tender I am a little over 7 weeks post op. I almost jumped off the table when the doctor pushed on my lower belly at my 6 week check up. I am glad you are feeling better. 4 more weeks will go fast, then you will be up and running again. I go back to my doctor on Monday to play with the hormone dosage again. I am on estrogel, one pump a day. I crash out by 1 pm then have to wait until 6 pm to take it. I am feel very irritable, then feel calmer after a couple hours of using it. I think finding the right balance take time. I am glad you are feeling better I hope you don't have an infection. How long does it take to get the results back? I know what you mean by not being able to live without the meds. I had endo, my dr said if any pain comes back I will have to go off my meds. I am not giving them up, lets hope the endo stays away. I am finally feeling like I am rejoining the human race.
