Any favorite books or TV shows?

I am reading The Help. I saw the movie and fell in love with it.

Re: What do you do to pass the time while recovering?

I read a couple of books, knit an afghan and a baby sweater, did a few pages of scrapbooking and a few cards, watched a bunch of tv - movies and seasons with my family, and too much HGTV. I also napped.

I'm back to work this week and I'm exhausted!

Oh man Id love to learn to knit or crochet. My mom whizzed through it like nobodies business.

I watch tv, nap and text. Pretty boring around here but I love the quiet while everyone is gone. I find myself getting frustrated easily when people are here.

Got hooked on games on my iPad. Kept my mind occupied and time flew away. Also saw "House" on DVD. Best wishes !

Re: What do you do to pass the time while recovering?

My hubby and kids gave me a new lightweight laptop before surgery, and I had it on my lap or beside me at the hospital and every minute I was recovering...I kept up with my friends and family and coworkers on emails, and FB and of course hystersisters! Plus I played chess agaisn't the computer, and watched some TV shows I had missed. My friends were great company through chat windows!

Re: What do you do to pass the time while recovering?

I watched a lot of "trash TV".... talk and court shows. Also kept a stack of crossword puzzles magazines that had a huge variety of puzzles. Read a few books, too.

Re: What do you do to pass the time while recovering?

I've worked on some graphics projects for a non-profit that I volunteer for, did our taxes, spent time on Facebook and here. I've also read some books and started on a small afghan to donate to the maternity center that my surgery was at. I'm sure a new mother will appreciate having a bright, cheerful baby afghan for their new little one.

You could learn! Now is the perfect time! There are lots of learn to books and even YouTube videos to teach you! I visited Michael's most during my time off
