Roseca

My hysterectomy was last July. I have since been diagnosed with Roseca! It is very discouraging! I am using Estrogel (which I love and have been using for years) Has anyone else experienced this and what should I do? My dermatologist put me on a prescription.

Re: Roseca

Weird. I was just online searching for roseca info & then came here for my usual end of day perusal of what's new in 'hysterland'. I think its what I have (not diagnosed) - wish I could figure out the cause.

Re: Roseca

Me too Janine! There are so many "unknowns" in this whole process aren't there?

Re: Roseca

I'm guessing you both mean rosacea?

(((Travers))) what did your DR prescribe? There has been some research associating rosacea severity with hormone levels:

Also it seems to be associated with overpopulation of the demodex mite in the skin, possibly due to a compromised immune system (which can be aggravated by menopause):

I hope this helps.

Linda
