No sleep,anxiety,ugh

I tell you the last few days I have been a wreck. My surgery is 2/7/12 LAVH/BSO(decided against the Bladder Sling) and I keep doing the what if's? It is driving me crazy. I have not been sleeping good at all and one minute I am like pumped to get it over with and the next minute I feel like I am SCARED to death. I have never been good with IV's when they put them in. I am so glad I found theis website by looking through a doctor office magazine I was reading about the Hormone Patch Vidella(I think that is it) and some how I got here(YEAH)!!! No eatting or drinking anything after 11:00 P.M. on 2/6/11. How did you all deal with the thirst in the morning and not being able to have even water? Well I will be in Post Op soon. I am wishing all the ladies out there a safe surgery and quick recovery. Hugs!!!

Re: No sleep,anxiety,ugh

Pinkheart, I remember feeling the way you did, not until I got the pathology report and my 2 week visit did I really see how it was the best. I was never diagnosed with endo until the pathology report came back and I also found out my uterus was the size of being 3 months pregnant and that my Fallopian tubes were severely inflamed. Nothing that showed up on my last ultrasound in November of last year. So I guess I really need the hysterectomy more then what I was first diagnosed with.
I wish you a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
Sending you some hugs for your big day.

You will do just fine. If you are like me, you will be so focused on your surgery that you might not even notice you are thirsty.

Your emotional roller coaster is quite normal - this is a tough surgery to deal with.

Good luck to you. We will be waiting for you on the other side.
