Bring it on!!! 9 more days!

As I sit here hurting and suffering thru my third peiod in 6 weeks, I am ready to get this surgery done and over with. Thank you to everyone who has helped me to prepare on this site. It feels good to know I am not at all on my own with what I am going thru.

Dont know if I have everything in order, but I am ready to get this demolition done and burn those pads and tampons forever!

Yes, you will need you pads for a bit afterwards. I had to wear a pad for six weeks post-op - discharge that was usually clear but sometimes colored. This was normal for my surgery.

Re: Bring it on!!! 9 more days!

Hi,
We are on for the same day and procedure. Went for my pre-op yesterday, gyn suggested that I take my tubes out as well. I was sooo not ready for him to say that. I was hoping he would say oh let's just wait and see.
No such luck..he took me off Danazol (to stop my bleeding) due to the awful side effects and we are hoping that the bleeding does not start up again. He said there is any over 60 percent chance my heavy continuous bleeding would happen at some point. SO...LSH is still a go...
Honestly, I am not ready for this...I trust my gyn deeply and we click so I guess I'm ok with it...
I tend to ramble these last few days...
I need to remind myself to take deep breathes.
Take care.....

Re: Bring it on!!! 9 more days!

Sunsets1, I was like you - couldn't wait! But I did wait 8 weeks (just in case) before I turned over all my pads and tampons to the kid. She looked at the giant overnight ones and said, "Really?!?!?". Yup - and I often wore them during the day. Yuck! So glad those days are over!

Take care!

Re: Bring it on!!! 9 more days!

Just finished week four of my last period and week one started the next day. I will NOT miss these cramps! I'm still nervous as all get out, but trying to focus on the other side.
