Weight gain?? Weight gain??

Law001!! And congrats on the weight loss!!

I don't think there is any proof out there that states that hysterectomy causes weight gain or weight loss. I think, like most things, it is different for everyone. I had a TAH/BSO (total hyster and removed both ovaries) and I have lost 35 lbs.

Healthy eating choices and exercise are always important when it comes to weight management. I know it is hard not to "stress eat" at a time like this and it is completely understandable. Just try to remember that during your recovery, you are going to be much less active, so you may need to watch what you eat, especially during that time.

Like I said, I don't think that a hysterectomy is going to cause you to lose or gain weight. There are so many other contributing factors to both. I'm sure you will be fine, especially since you have already worked so hard to lose weight. I wish you the best of luck.

I've been eating less due to stress. Just be conscious of what you are putting in your mouth. Are you really hungry, or just nervous?
