Rumbly tummy and pain under collar bone

I had a DVH yesterday....was home the same day. feeling pretty good for just having major surgery but my tummy rumbled all night long. When I get up to use the bathroom I seem to get pain in the shoulder and collarbone area...is this the gas from the surgery? Does anyone know how long this lasts?

Re: Rumbly tummy and pain under collar bone

I had laparoscopic hysterectomy and I also had the pain in the shoulder/collar bone area. Also had it in the rib area. My Dr warned me that it might happen and it was from the gas they used during the surgery. It went away after a few days...walking helped it along and I took Gas-x a couple times but not sure if that helped with that shoulder gas pain....I took it more for my intestinal gas pains.

Yes it is gas, make sure you drink plenty of water, take stool softener, GasX, and walk. Happy Healing.
