Things I'm worrying about

My mother has always told me men can't find their stuff because they don't have a uterus, its a tracking device. So after I was told my uterus was coming out, I started to wonder how anyone in this house would ever know where their keys/homework/shoes, etc went!!

Also, while I'm recovering, husband will have to do all of the grocery shopping. I hope the kids can get by on 6 weeks of eating nothing but pop tarts, oreos, and canned ravioli.

Is delirium a stage of grief after hysterectomy diagnosis?

Re: Things I'm worrying about

LOL....that's funny. You'll still be able to find stuff. I don't know why you personally are having your surgery, but mine was for low progesterone which led to irregular bleeding (read, non stop!) and one of my symptoms from that was foggy brain. That got better after too. Not 100%, but way better for sure. Now I make no gurantees for the time when you're on pain killers! hehehe.

The kids will live on junk food for awhile...don't worry about it. Just worry about taking care of you, so that you don't delay your recovery time and cause yourself other problems. (((HUGS)))

Re: Things I'm worrying about

I laughed a lot about your post. Had to hold my tummy :-)

But I can tell you, 3 weeks after surgery I'm still able to find things all over the house just from my comfy chair in the living room.
I guess the finding gene isn't situated in the uterus but in our love and caring feelings for our husbands and kids.

And about cooking meals. Rice with egg and fruit, noodles, frozen pizza and more will be fine for a while. I'm back to normal cooking since week two after LAVH.
