I am 10 days post op from a DaVinci. I am sooo glad that my husband took time off. I am still taking Vicodin and 800 Motrin. The Vicodin is getting less and more spaced apart. I tried to go with out and tried to be tough. I was in so much pain. I was crying. The whole mess. Then I had to wait for the pain meds to kick in. I have also read the posts from women who needed nothing. I sort of felt like a baby. Then I sorta did a mental smack upside my head & said I am not those other women. Just because I need to some pain meds doesn't make me weak. I just had MAJOR surgery. I had organs removed from my body! I have 4 kids so my husband has taken over those duties. The relief of not having that stress has been wonderful. My job is to rest and recover. You only have 1 chance to heal right. If you need the help, take it. If you need the meds, take them! Everyday will get easier. I promise!
