Strange pain!

Surgery was on Wednesday. I have the expected pain in the adominal area, but I am also experiencing something I haven't seen mentioned anywhere. In my neck and shoulder area my skin feels like I was punched. Its not muscle pain, but rather on the surface. Its the kind of pain you'd experience if you got bruised. Anyone else? I'm wondering if this could be a reaction to medication, or how they positioned me for the surgery.

Re: Strange pain!

Gas pains.. Gas from surgery that they pump into you will travel ANYWHERE.. Walking gets rid of it..

Yes I had a bruising like pain in my sides of my neck for a couple days and it is gone today. But now it is in my sides right under the breast area along the sides of my stomach but I believe it is gas. UGH!!!

Other ladies Can you take Gas X and Stool Softner? Or is there something else you ladies think is good for the gas. How long does this gas linger?

Re: Strange pain!

Walk.. Walk.. Walk... it will go away. The gas they pump you with will not go away with gas x. It is broken up by movement

Re: Strange pain!

Ditto what gmac4_11 said. Walk, walk, walk, even if it hurts. The mobility move that gas out.

Re: Strange pain!

Mine was gas and position. They have you in the stirrups almost upside down! For me it was 4 hours!
