5 Days Away!

After months of anxiety & fear, I'm actually ready for this to happen....maybe the fact that I'm getting my period and I'm already suffering with severe cramps, has made me so ready for this to be over!!!
I had my pre-op appts and my Dr was very reassuring, he answered all my questions and I left there feeling much better.
He said that I didn't need a bowel prep and also have me valium for the morning of the surgery...
Figured I'd share a little hope rather than my normal doom & gloom
Hope that we all do well and have speedy recoveries!

Re: 5 Days Away!

You sound exactly like me! No bowel prep, a Valium, but mine is Wednesday.

Best wishes for both of us!

Re: 5 Days Away!

Hi Ladies. My DVH is 6 days away - Feb. 17th and i am ready to get this over with! I am doing a bowel prep on Thursday and not looking forward to it. He did say they would give me a valium that morning. Thank goodness my surgery is early - 9:30. Good luck to you all. We will be fine!!

Re: 5 Days Away!

Okay, ladies you are in the final stretch! All your pre-ops are probably done, and you are just waiting these last few days. Your emotions can still go back and forth - at least they did for me up to the day of surgery. This is normal. Get on and post when this happens. We really know how you feel.

I am sure I was given vallium, or the like, on the day of the surgery. They said "here take this pill with a little cup of water". And I said, okay!

Consider treating yourselves if you can before surgery - something special. You all deserve it. DH and I went out to a very nice dinner a few days before.

(((Hugs))) to you all and good luck with your surgeries. We will be waiting for you on the other side.

Re: 5 Days Away!

I am jealous of you lucky ladies who don't have to do a bowel prep. Dr wants me all cleared out so he can deal with any endo he finds. The one he has me taking cost me 65 dollars plus some type of anti nasaua pill... that is crazy.

Anxious and excited.

I am sure this week will be full of emotion for us all.
