Is this a hidden message/sign

Ok so surgery is Feb 14th. Got past my crying, got child care arranged, in our home with fmaily members, for 6 weeks only causing DH to miss two days of work each week (which was a huge undertaking to get worked out). Got pink eye sat, dr put me on drops, told him i had a tad sore throat & he said he thinks I can still procede as long as i don't get a high fever (it was barely elevated 99.0 n office) but he isn't the ones performing surgery, now they are calling for 1-4 inches of snow following by up to 1/2 an inch of ice... I live in the south, rural area, abt 1.5 hrs away from the hospital. Very few roads will be treated bc its just not financially feasible for the state to do it.. I'm starting to think this is some sort of sign lol Atleast I'm not stressing as much over something going wrong with the surgery as much as if i will even get to have it!!

Re: Is this a hidden message/sign

Can you go up the night before the surgery and stay at a close hotel? Many hospitals have agreements with local hotels for deep discounts, for people in your situation, long drives.

I didn't know that! But I can't get anyone here to stay w/ the kiddos til late, late that night (they are coming after the get off work). So we will be able to leave extra early but the stuff shoud be past by then. We are discussion just leaving a couple hours early. Ugh so in stead of 5 it will b 3 am lol i can't drive on it (never have & my legs shake I get so nervous). My hubby thinks its great fun & I think he is hoping for the extra adventure.

Re: Is this a hidden message/sign

I was going to suggest a hotel the night before as well, thats what I did, as the hospital I had my surgery at was two hours from me. And a known snow belt area, so we didn't want to take any chances.

IrishWife is right, hotels near hospitals usually discount their prices, that was the case for us, we saved nearly 40 dollars off each night.
