Need advice from 50+ that have had hysterectomy saving ovaries

I have surgery scheduled for Mar 21st and would like to hear from women that have had cervix and uterus removed leaving ovaries in that are near or through menopause. With HRT how has this surgery affected you sexually, physically and mentally. My surgery is for stage 3 uterine prolapse with stage 3 cystocele and stage 2 rectocele recon. Urinating is getting weird and things are very floppy and wide up there. Surgeon is a good one and will do a suspension but feels more confident that removing the uterus will take pressure off and maintain his reconstruction of the vaginal walls. Sex has become very satisfying lately but when I orgasm from clitoral stimulation it feels like my cervix juts out and then back again. My husband says he can feel my vagwalls tightening which shocks me since I feel like I'm not able to tighten anymore. So my menopause sisters can you share your experience with me?
Thanks,
Vicki

Re: Need advice from 50+ that have had hysterectomy saving ovaries

I'll be watching this thread! I'm 51 and having a hysterectomy tomorrow (removing cervix and uterus, leaving ovaries). I'm not in peri-menopause yet. I'm HOPING sex will be the same (great) after the surgery too!
