Re: Best Wishes to our February 15 Princesses

Well, I, for one, am flipping out from the fear and anxiety. I'm short with everyone around me and just so tired too. I really want to just curl up in a ball and be done with it already.

Still waiting for the call regarding when my surgery is scheduled for.

Re: Best Wishes to our February 15 Princesses

I've been pretty good up to this point, but now I am freaking out. I have to be at the hospital at 6 am tomorrow and I keep going through all these lists in my head of things I have to do. Praying for everything to go well for everyone.

Re: Best Wishes to our February 15 Princesses

I've been cleaning the house because it's the last time it'll be cleaned for 3 months. I might be able to get away with some light dusting though...

I'm somewhat calm now (finally). I'm not sure what kind of calm it is though. I have been thinking that I should say a special goodbye (as in last) to the kids. But I don't want to freak them out. I'm really trying to not go overboard with "getting my ducks in a row." But I can't help but think about the risk of death.

I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 tomorrow. The best thing about having the first surgery of the say is that I can get it DONE! But I am super nervous. Keeping the rest of you in my prayers!

Re: Best Wishes to our February 15 Princesses

finally here. 5:45 am check in at Stanford. Had my melt down when I said goodbye to my youngest (16), but I'm feeling stronger as this day progresses. I've spent the last hour packing. Thankful for the great ideas that helped me put together the packing list. Looking at this as an adventure and trying not to be scared. Hugs to you all.

I'm laying here in my pre-op room. My surgery is delayed due to a hard case before me. Hope the docs ate lunch! I'm starving!

Re: Best Wishes to our February 15 Princesses

You should visit the Post-op Hysterectomy forum. Everyone who got surgery the same week as us is on a "Recovery Thread" based on the week. It's a pretty active thread and you should get a lot of support over there.
