Has anyone been through hyster who also has Lichen Sclerosus?

I've been reading about how the vagina isn't as elastic during the healing phase. Some women have said it took up to 6 months before their vaginas were supple and elastic again after hyster.

With LS, this really concerns me. If you've had a hyster (I'm losing my cervix too) and have LS, could you please share your story of what sex was like before and after the hyster. Sex for my husband and I has been laborious for over a decade now due to my LS, but it is still possible and once we get going the good feelings out weigh the pain and twinges. I'm hoping sex can still be enjoyable for us after the hyster instead of it just adding to the complications of my LS.

abagayle -

My LS was diagnosed after my hyster so my experience isn't totally apples to apples. Feom my perspective you are one up on me because you are keeping your ovaries and those hormones. I believe my ls was triggered by the sudden drop in estrogen related to my surgical menopause.

I haven't noticed an elasticity difference once i started using vaginal estrogen. I think you will be okay but that is just an opinion.

There are a few other LS sisters out there so hopefully they will stop by and give you some closer experiences.
