For those trying to avoid colds

L Glutamine or Glutamine powder (same difference) is an awesome way to either stop a cold in it's tracks or prevent getting one. I get the fast acting kind from GNC. I've been taking it for the past 2 weeks to make sure I do not get sick before my surgery. I've felt something coming on but it's stopped it. It's an amino acid body builders use to recover from a workout but I've heard hospitals use it to boost patient's immune systems. It has worked for me the past 2 years I've known about it and everyone who tries it is amazed how well it works.

There's nothing worse than sitting here waiting then having it cancelled. It took so much to schedule this I am NOT getting sick.....I feel like the wait will probably be worse than the surgery itself. Blessings to all my hystersisters!

Re: For those trying to avoid colds

Do check with your doctor to be sure this is something that is okay to take pre surgery. I know my doctor had advised that some vitamins/supplements were not okay for me to take before surgery.
