Re: Bladder slings

I can tell you that I had a mini arc placed on DEC 28th along with my hysterectomy. The mini arc is a small mesh sling to help with my stress incontinence. I had great results with it. I had no mesh erosion after surgery and sex with my spouse has been fine. I know some people have horrible problems with slings like erosion and pain. I know the sling helps support the urethra and others help support the bladder. I'm 38 yrs old. I know this isn't a lot of info but I hope this kind of helps. I wish you luck.

Re: Bladder slings

No problem I'm glad I did it but keep doing your research because I've heard great things and I've heard some bad things. My doc reassured me my sling was not apart of a recall also. best of luck.

Re: Bladder slings

My grandmother had one. She had a hysterectomy and years later had incontinence issues. She had a surgery in her late 70's to put in a bladder sling and it worked out great for her during the last 19 years of her life. It gives your bladder and urethra support if you have problems with it dropping.
