Re: Question for those who had hyster for adenomyosis

I'm hoping my hysterectomy helps my issues as well.

Reading TeaLady2011's post reminds me so much of me. I've done that so many times over the past 4 1/2-5 years!

Re: Question for those who had hyster for adenomyosis

I suffetred for years with horrible bleeding and cramps. I also began to have digestive issues...gas, bloating, indigestion, weird food cravings, weird bowel movements. In fact, 4 months before my hysterectomy, I was eating nothing but salads. Everything else gave me trouble of some sort.

I had an LAVH on December 5th. Nothing else would stop the bleeding. Adenomyosis was the culprit (according to pathology after surgery).

I'm a little over 2 months since my surgery. I feel better than I have in years. My indigestion, gas and bloating are gone. Bowel movements are normal. I lost my weird cravings for nothing but salad.

I can't believe I wasted so many years avoiding the surgery. I'm so happy to feel normal again - so much better than I have for a long time.

I don't know if there is a connection between adenomyosis and all the indigestion issues, but I can say mine went away after my surgery - it took a few weeks, but man, what a crazy difference.

Good luck to all of you with your decisions and healing processes. This site helped me through the worst of it.

with my adeno, just to name a few problems....
I had daily pain. somedays so bad i would sit on the floor and cry. i couldnt walk far at all. my pelvis shifted, i was bloated and sore. i had pain that ran through my back down my legs.

i am 4 days post op. yes i have surgical pain. but its controlled. i stll cant walk far, but thats because i had surgery. every day i get stronger. But those adeno pains i listed above - GONE. just like that. I wake up and wait for it to start. but it doesnt.

i hope you get the same relief
Hi..hope you're doing well today!
I have been wondering if anyone else out there had leg pain...I've started to think that I had a back issue!
All of my pain during my period starts on my right side, wraps around my waist and radiates down my right leg. During the rest of the month, I always have that dull pain in those areas!
I also have digestive issues, gas, bloating and loose stools. My gallbladder was removed years ago...
Well, I hope we all get relief!!! And that those of you that have already had your hyster, are doing well!
