Re: bloody discharge two weeks post op

Nicole, I am 6 weeks out from the Da Vinci but 4 weeks out from a second surgery thru the vagina. I still have pinkish spotting and sometimes it is a translucent brown. It irritates me because I thought I was thru with pads! My Dr has seen me several times and when I tell him he says it is normal for spotting as long as they don't get very red in color. I too think your treadmill may be too soon. You are healing inside slowly and still swelled up and any hard activity can swell you more and cause more bleeding. Please take it easy my dear, you have lots of time ahead of you!

Re: bloody discharge two weeks post op

Hi! My doctor told me not to even do a 20 minute walk until the 3 week point after I got home. I am now doing a 30 minute walk each day that the weather is good...wintery here in Nova Scotia!! I did walk around the house and a little in the yard and up and down the stairs a bit before then to at least move around somewhat. When I would talk on the phone I would walk around too. I had the discharge but it is now finally almost gone. Mine was a light red for awhile, then dark brown, now very light brown and not much at all. My surgery was Jan 17. I am 42 and quite fit. Hope this info helps!

Oh, also I only lift things I can carry with one hand even now, as doc suggested. Be careful!

Re: bloody discharge two weeks post op

Hmm. I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and had some light pink stuff here and there..typically after a BM. Didn't think much of it but today it has turned red and went from a little bit (no pad needed) to needing a pad. DH has left a message for the Dr since I am kinda freaking out....the stupid part is I literally have been taking it easy aside from climbing the stairs very other day to have a shower. What now??

Re: bloody discharge two weeks post op

My doc told me I could start light exercise at 10 days post op. He said no abdominal or intense. Just walking on treadmill for like 15 minutes. Actually haven't had the energy yet and I am somebody that runs a mile or two every morning before going to work.

I think it depends on the person whether you are ready, but for me who is relatively fit, I think 35 minutes may be too much.
