Pre-op & question

I just have one question. How often does a prolapsed bladder occur for women with hysterectomies?
I am having my surgery March 2 and have heard that that could happen. Thanks! God bless!

Re: Pre-op & question

If its any piece of mind I had no bladder problems. The only problem I had was after my surgery I had a catheter on until 5pm the following day (my surgery was at 9am) and I got bladder spasms. Once it was out I felt instant relief and have had no problems.

Re: Pre-op & question

I do not know the answer to your question. I had a TAH BSO (I am 46) and have had no bladder problems. In fact, my bladder is much happier since my hysterectomy. I had a very large ovarian cyst that was pushing my bladder, uterus, bowels and other organs around and taking up space.

Please talk to your doctor about this.

Re: Pre-op & question

I dont have an answer to that either. But I agree with marestail my bladder feels much better now that my 4lb fibroid is gone. No more pushing on my bladder.
