Surgery scheduled

My doctor's office called this week. My surgery has been scheduled for Monday, April 23rd @ 7 am. I have to be at the hospital @ 5. Also found out I have to make a surgery deposit. My doctor told me that we could offer me a less invasive surgery, robotics, which I am guessing is the da Vinci hysterectomy. She did forewarn me that she might get in there and work for an hour trying to get the uterus out and couldn't. Then I would have to have an abdominal hysterectomy. I told her we could try that.

I told her of my convsersation with the first doctor I went to, who told me 'everything needs to go.' The second doctor said if my ovaries look fine, then she'll leave them, which is just fine with me. My doctor said she wouldn't have also done the endometrial biopsy that was done.

I have to go for a pre-op visit with my doctor the week before surgery.

My FMLA paperwork has been filled out, turned in, and approved. I just have to get my mom's to the office to be filled out.

Other than that, nothing left to do but wait.

Hi Tappin' Gal

Looks like you have everything under control! It sounds like a ways off yet, but it'll be here before you know it!
