light bleeding and pain 6 months after hysterectomy

Hello Everyone,

I had a hysterectomy approx 6 months ago. Sept. 27, 2011. I had a vaginal laparoscopic procedure. Everything was was removed excepted for my ovaries. I was told by my doctor that I would not have any more periods, but for the past two months and half months, I have had some light bleeding and discharge along with moderate pain on my lower right side. There are times when the pain radiates to my back and goes down to my right leg. Is this normal? It becomes worse when I feel stressed, going up and downs stairs, getting out of bed and exercise. Any ideas of what can be causing this?

Re: light bleeding and pain 6 months after hysterectomy

I would think 6 months post op there would be no bleeding or pain. You might have unhealed vaginal cuff or infection, etc. The doctor should check it out to see what is causing it.

Hang in there :hang in:

I think you should give your a call just to make sure everything is okay. Six months is awfully late to have bleeding and pain.

please keep us posted on what you find out. I hope it is nothing serious!!
