Silly ? New mattress?

OK, I know this is less of an issue than some of the tough questions you all bring up.

My surgery is on the 29th, coming up. My mattress is old, and not that comfortable anymore. I'm thinking of getting a new one before my surgery. I figure I'm going to be spending some time in bed, I may as well be comfortable.

Any thoughts?

Re: Silly ? New mattress?

I did the same thing, got a new mattress. I am spending a ton of time in bed and don't regret the decision at all.

Re: Silly ? New mattress?

Thank God I bought a Tempur mattress a year ago, it's a regular mattress which makes you feel weightnessless and it's my savior now.
It's great against back pain, it helps laying comfy in each position and it supported me staying in bed for long hours during the first days
