Decision Made and period so much easier to take

I am in pain & I feel miserable, but knowing that I only have to deal with this 2-6 more times (waiting for a sugary date) makes it all easier.

I used to feel I had to work through the pain and misery as it was a part of my life. Now I am taking some meds, putting my feet up and just getting through it. I can't believe how much easier this is with an end in site.

I was the same way. I am 3 weeks post op, due to heavy bleeding and fibroids. Once the decision was made it made the waiting easier. I feel so much better and congrats on your decision - it's a fresh new start!
good luck. keep us posted, please.

Re: Decision Made and period so much easier to take

I understand the pain you're talking about. Tomorrow is my big day. I'm sitting here trying to drink the bowel prep concoction. It is very difficult. UGH.

For me, Tylenol was like taking candy. It did not even touch the pain. I have functional dyspepsia, so I am not allowed to take NSAIDS. The last time I did that, my upper stomach really hurt me for 10 days and my doctor told me to never take another NSAID. I was miserable. For my last period, I took percocet, but that just left me doped up for 3 days and by day 4 I was feeling sick from being doped up for the past 3 days. I can't go month to month taking narcotics - that's just not good either.

Best wishes to you. I hope your surgery date is sooner than later so that you will be able to be pain free.
