Your bed sounds amazing!! I did not have a belly binder either. I did need a lot of stretch pants for the house & at least 2 "nice" pair to wear when you feel up to going out.

For some odd reason I could not get into reading (I love to read) or looking at mags almost like I could not concentrate on it for the first almost 4 weeks.
I'd say your pretty well set...just get yourself some bathroom wipes for the night before if you have to do a bowel flush. Good luck!
Yes, important about the bathroom wipes. I didn't realize how much pain I would be in from so much wiping. I also had hubby run out (after the fact) and get me some Tucks Pads because I was in so much pain. They were very soothing.

Gas X & stool softeners!! I didn't use a belly binder. I did not want anything touching my incisions. Ice packs were my friend! I used a small pillow for sleeping on my side. I wedge it between my belly & the bed. Drink, walk & rest. That is your first week!! Good luck!

Re: What else do I need?

Also, someone mentioned loving to read but not being able to concentrate. I too love to read, I loaded up my Kindle with new books and I haven't read anything yet! I instead decided I needed a change to I got back into an old craft I love - crocheting and knitting! Luckily I had a bin full of yarn and so far I have made my husband a scarf. I've also finished a baby hat and am almost finished with a baby blanket for my niece's new baby (due next month). I like having my hands busy. So you might also want a back up to keep you busy besides the books.
