Feeling quite depressed

I feel like this is going to take forever to get in to have the surgery. I have been battling fibroids, heavy bleeding that goes on for months at a time and pain for years and now I am having to wait even longer to get in to surgery. When I rang the hospital admissions people and they gave me the oh yeah April or May but if we get emergencies you will be pushed back on the elective surgery wait list. I had a horrendous bleed for 4 days last week and went to the GP to get something to stop it and he was amazed that the Gyny hadn't prescribed anything for the bleeding. I am just over the attitudes of the health care providers at the local hospital, but I must say my GP is fantastic. Maybe if I turn up at A&E every time I have bad bleeding they will listen. Oh Well thanks for letting me rant.

Re: Feeling quite depressed

Hi from my experience I would advise that you keep on at the professionals when you get the heavy bleeding, they can't expect you to go on bleeding like this, its not fair. If it means you going to a&e each time then do it, I hope you get your date sooner than you think and hope all goes well xx
