Spotting after 12 weeks

I just passed 12 weeks after my LSH on 12/1/11 and I noticed yesterday a little spot and now today a little more. It was light brown yesterday and it looks like it is pink today. Is this normal after 12 weeks? I did so well, only spotted very little right after my LSH for a few days and then had nothing at all since yesterday. Haven't done anything strenous to cause spotting so I wonder why I am seeing this now?? Hoping it is not my period coming back after maybe healing for 12 weeks Thanks for any help.

Re: Spotting after 12 weeks

Well, you had an LSH which means you kept your cervix. Correct?
I heard that you can still have mini periods if you kept your cervix. I also read about a few ladies having a 5 or 6 day period every month. Not as bad as before, but still had spotting for several days a month.
Best to check with your doctor though.

Bee, yes I did keep my cervix. My Dr. told me with a little luck I wouln't have any periods. I was just in to see him last Friday and was bragging about no periods!! He told me that sometimes you can bleed around the time of your periods but I really thought I would have had that by now so I was good. Hate the thought of having periods again Still trying to get my blood count up and if I have periods again, that is going to be tuff. Thanks again for your reply.

Re: Spotting after 12 weeks

So sorry to hear this Sue I would of felt the same way.
Maybe they can cauterize it or something? I heard about women getting that done.
Unless they could still remove the cervix? Not sure if that has ever been done sep.?
Then they would have to create a vaginal cuff. Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Hopfully it will only be a very little bit and nothing more will have to be done.
