5 wks post op

Hey ladies!
I am 5 wks post op today! 3 more weeks and I can have sex!

Surgery recovery is going well. I feel pretty good, can tell when I've done a bit too much, and seem to be healing well. I kept both of my ovaries and have had considerable more migraines for the past 4 weeks. I have a good h'ache dr. so we're working on that.
The past 2 wks or so, I have had some spontaneous episodes of weepiness and/or irritability. I know these are hormonal and hope they will subside at some point. Fortunately, my dh has a good sense of humor and is gifted at making me laugh. I'm just flat out honest "Honey, I'm feeling pretty *****y today". I like to warn him up front instead of letting him discover this on his own.
I've benefited very much from HysterSisters and have recommended this site to a few other Princesses that didn't know HS existed.
And that's about it on my recovery.

Re: 5 wks post op

I am 8 weeks post op LAVH/bladder sling (kept ovaries). The emotions will eventually come under control - I still have an occasional outburst or start crying for no reason. I am fortunate as well and my DH has been very supportive! He even does things around the house without me having to ask! I was so happy I found this website when my doctor told me I had to have a hysterectomy. I really don't know HOW I would have made it through! Good luck!
