2 week post-op appt.

Yesterday I had my 2 week post-op appt. and so far so good. However, I'm still not cleared to do anything besides rest and walk, I did tell how tired I'm just too get dress yesterday wore me out. I feel like I'm on something and I stopped taking meds last week.

But today I have discharge brownish/red and a little cramping on my right side. Has anyone had this issue and should I be concerned?

Re: 2 week post-op appt.

From what I've seen on here and heard from my surgeon's office, you should be concerned when it's a lot of bleeding/bright red bleeding. Brownish-red blood sounds like old blood to me. My doc had to do an exam on me at my 2 wk post op to check out a symptom I was having, and while everything checked out well, I definitely felt cramped after I left, I think just from her doing the exam (speculum, her palpating some on my belly area ugh). What you are describing does not sound concerning to me, especially if it remains a small amount (ie not filling up a pad, etc). It never hurts to call your doctor just to be sure, but probably just fine.
