1 Year Today!!!!

Hi all

I just thought I would check in I haven't been out here in a while but today is my 1 year anniversary and thought I would check in and let all of you people who are just starting to deal with cancer that there is life after. I had a radical for cervical cancer and have been cancer free every since I do still have to go every 3 months for check ups for another 2 years. I did have to have a lap on Dec 20th to remove cysts on my one remaining ovary but the path came back benign. Energy level is not what it was pre op yet but I think that has alot to do with the 2 bouts of pneumonia and 1 plueresy(sp) plus another surgery. The important thing is that there is no cancer yee haw!!!! I know when you hear the word cancer it is the scariest thing in the world, been there done that, mine was diagnosed from a regular check up pap smear results had never been abnormal so I didn't expect a thing boy was I blindsided. I just wanted to let you know that it does get better and eventually it stops controling your whole life just hang in there. And when times got reallly tough I would just remind myself of what my dear mom always said to me "This Too Shall Pass" Good luck to all of you and feel free to email me anytime.
